Reasons to Join

The Loveladies Property Owners Association (LPOA) provides a communication forum for exchanging ideas and information among our members. We work with Long Beach Township, and Island property owner groups; we act as an advocate for enhanced governmental services.

The Loveladies Property Owners Association is a dynamic, civic organization dedicated to our local community.  Volunteers work year-round with LBT Commissioners and other Island taxpayer organizations to advocate around issues that impact property values and quality of life. These efforts may be helpful to you as a property owner, and it is our mission to keep you aware about what is going on.

Benefits of a $35 annual membership:

1. A general membership/business meeting of the organization is held annually in August. A regular business meeting agenda is conducted. Businrsd is followed by a brief presentation on a topic relevant to LBI life. Light refreshments are offered. 
2. An informative Meet-the-Mayor meeting is held in June. Each year the Long Beach Township mayor joins us to answer questions on a wide range of island topics  Light refreshments are offered.
3.  Members receive a monthly electronic newsletter with details information on local government actions as well as the best information the organization can source on crucial island happenings. Recent topics include: offshore wind turbines, bayside flooding, roadway improvements, beach replenishment & household life good-to-know rules etc.
4. Members receive an electronic “Members Only” directory.  
     

Additionally, LPOA makes annual contributions to local volunteer emergency services companies servicing Loveladies, the island food bank, and a high school scholarship (given to an island resident). 

Also LPOA maintains the “WELCOME TO LOVELADIES”sign, flag, and planting area at the south boulevard  entrance. 

LPOA’s mission is to provide members with information, in an unbiased manner, enabling each member to make informed choices and decisions on important island topics. LPOA does not lobby .  The organization maintains constant communication with members, other island property organizations, as well as the local and county governments.
