Reasons to Join

The Loveladies Property Owners Association (LPOA) provides a communication forum for exchanging ideas and information among our members. We work with Long Beach Township, and Island property owner groups; we act as an advocate for enhanced governmental services.

The Loveladies Property Owners Association is a dynamic, civic organization dedicated to our local community.  Volunteers work year-round with LBT Commissioners and other Island taxpayer organizations to advocate around issues that impact property values and quality of life. These efforts may be helpful to you as a property owner, and it is our mission to keep you aware about what is going on.

Benefits of a $40 annual membership:

1. A general membership/business meeting of the organization is held annually. The meeting often features guests speakers in addition to LPOA board members sharing information about LPOA’s activities throughout the year. A legendary continental breakfast is provided.

2. An informative Meet-the-Mayor meeting is held annually as well. Each year the Long Beach Township mayor joins us to answer questions on a wide range of island topics  In the past few years, the general membership meeting and the opportunity to meet the mayor have been combined into one meeting.

3.  Members receive a monthly newsletter via email with information about local government actions as well as the best information the organization can source on crucial island happenings. Past topics have included offshore wind turbines, island flooding, challenges faced by local fire companies and emergency medical squads, pedestrian & bike safety, roadway improvements, beach replenishment, household tips and good-to-know facts to make life a bit smoother.

4. Members receive the LPOA Membership Directories via email, usually distributed sometime in May. Members receive both versions of the directories: one arranged alphabetically by last name and the other arranged alphabetically by street.
